Stone Soup!

Today we did our annual Stone Soup Party with our homeschool group! Everyone brings something to add to the soup and something to put into a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child! It is so special and a really great way for the kids to see how everyone doing their little part can have big results! We started off by reading the story and having the kids adding the ingredients as we went! Here are some pictures of our fun!

While the soup cooked, the kids wrapped the boxes and made some cards and crafts to put in their box for the kids who need them! They of course loved it and since there was glitter, whats not to LOVE!

When we were all done with the crafting, it was time to eat! Yummy!

  2. What a great idea to tie in OCC (one of my fave organizations) with Stone Soup (one of my fave stories for teaching cooperation and "it takes a village")!
